TheLogistics Coordinator (Dispatcher) will assist the Floor Manager in the area of dispatching CDL and Non-CDL transportation drivers on daily tasks while ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation to and from customers and vendors locations.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure transportation safety compliance & focus on communication are stressed daily.
- Work from schedules, contracts, cross rental forms, equipment return forms, reply memoranda, and other similar documentation when dispatching LMG and 3rd party drivers.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks to ensure proper positioning of product and secure load to avoid shifting or damage in transit.
- Plan trips for most economical and efficient routing and to ensure timely pickup and delivery of orders.
- Dispatch drivers to designated delivery locations, operating within legal parameters for weights, hours, and speed, and in compliance with all defined regulations
- Maintain records of signatures, printed name, date, and time of delivery from technicians or client contact and document other delivery information.
- Maintain communications with Floor Manager and report any vehicle incidents, accidents, or unusual circumstances immediately to National Transportation Manager. Direct pickups of freight from airport in area of venue and deliveries to technician or client as required. Dispatch shipments, via methods prescribed by the technician or main office, of equipment to other shows or returns to the Main office as directed.
- Dispatch returns to venue to pick up product following striking of show. Stage returned product in designated location and tape load in designated color to indicate load status.
- Develop defined schedules to perform periodic vehicle inspections in accordance with procedures. Hold drivers accountable for vehicle inspections and documentation. Complete expense vouchers as required to account for run expenses.
- Receive and ship freight from warehouse using approved carriers, such as, but not limited to, Fed-Ex, UPS, etc. Prepare labels for said shipments, document incoming and outgoing freight on log sheets, and file documents accordingly
- Champions teamwork to engage and promote a professional attitude in appearance in order to properly mentor and act as a role model.
Base Salary Range: $19.75/hr - $29.27/hr This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
