Job Summary

As the Warehouse Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating with shop personnel to properly distribute material, maintain a well-organized work area, and assist with inspections as needed.

Essential Duties

· Check bill of ladings to verify accuracy and completeness of deliveries.

· Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.

· Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.

· Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine material assignments based on shop needs.

· Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.

· Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.

· Move materials to and from storage or production areas, or delivery vehicles, by hand or using a forklift.

· Safely operate forklifts and other equipment.

· Keep storage area(s) organized to ensure safety and materials can be located quickly.

· Organize collection of job waste.

· Coordinate safety supplies are always full and equipment is properly inspected.

· Alert project manager or supervisor of any material discrepancies as soon as it’s discovered.

· Mandatory to carry a company phone, for handling assistance throughout the day and to monitor emails for updates on incoming material.

· Required to complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections.

· Position requires the incumbent be willing and able to work from various worksites as necessary.

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED, required.

· Basic material handling knowledge and experience is required.

· Prior experience operating forklifts is a plus.

· Intermediate computer skills required in Microsoft Excel.

· Basic to intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook, required.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

· Location is 1400 Chamber Drive, Bartow, Florida.

· This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 7AM – 3PM and overtime and weekend work is frequently required.

· Working environment is often times in harsh elements (hot / humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment / machinery, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

· While performing the duties of this job, you will:

o Frequently use hands and arms in handling, moving materials, and manipulating things.

o Frequently operate a forklift.

o Routinely perform physical activities that require use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping. Occasional climbing.
