We are looking for a talented Logistics Coordinator to oversee our logistics and inventory division across the entire Social Mobile portfolio. As the Logistics Coordinator you will own and drive the operations of Social Mobile’s inventory management and shipping programs - both domestic and international.
Your efforts will be focused on managing, creating, understanding, monitoring, reporting, and improving inventory/logistics metrics as well as the service we provide our clients. Working with external global and regional small package and large freight transportation partners, you will also manage our internal ERP systems, responsible for the inflow and outflow of our product inventory.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented time management expert, who can focus on complete supply chain transparency and inventory control across a broad transportation network. A self-motivated problem solver finding ways to proactively lead a sophisticated network of carrier operations to ensure timely pickup, on-time delivery, and exceptional time management.
Responsibilities:
- Accountability of end-to-end logistics and inventory management
- Oversight of all Social Mobile’s International and Domestic cargo transportation operations
- Creation and maintenance of internal systems to drive and track regulatory compliance, client’s SLA standards, and inventory thresholds
- Manage internal supply chain and inventory levels to ensure continuity of operations
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate rates as applicable for efficient operations
- Closely collaborate with product management, sales, and finance teams to drive, track, and deliver products to meet on-time delivery
- Closely collaborate and manage international and domestic freight carriers to reduce transportation costs and meet on-time delivery
- Identify operational ways to optimize cost, accuracy and speed of all shipping services
- Ensure proper insurance coverage is in place for all shipments
- Employees will be required to adhere to Social Mobile's information security policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Forward Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Inventory Control Management and Warehousing/Storage
- BS+ in Supply Chain Management or Global Logistics (preferred), or equivalent experience
- Experience in tracking and maintaining serialized inventory across multiple locations
- APICS Certification (CSCP/CPIM) preferred
- OSHA Certification (Or ability to become certified)
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other similar process management methodology
- Experience in managing and tracking peak season surcharges to reduce transportation costs
- Experience in HTS tariff categories to ensure products adhere to international laws and guidelines
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central Dynamics 365 ERP and TMS systems
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Teams, SharePoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a proactive and constructive manner
- Pro-active mindset with ability to self-identify and correct inefficiencies
- Must be capable of repetitive lifting of 20lb objects and operating light warehouse equipment
