Litigation Legal Assistant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a full time/direct hire Legal Assistant to join a top AM law firm in Orlando, FL. This position requires 5 years minimum experience working in a business litigation law practice. If this sounds like you, apply today! This role is moving fast!
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Review and proofread a range of legal correspondence; prints and files emails for attorneys
Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
Maintain and manage attorney calendar, schedule hearings, depositions, etc.
E-filing in Florida State and Federal Court
Answer phones; manage incoming calls, messaging, transfers, and conference calls
Filing, scanning, photocopying and other administrative tasks
Manage billing for attorneys and expense reimbursements
Draft legal documents and other attorney correspondence
Maintains client case files (electronic and paper files)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and very organized
Assists with coordination of incoming and outgoing file transfers; including sending and retrieving files to/from off-site storage
Serves as a back up to other Legal Support Specialists
Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and other interested parties
Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a business law or commercial law practice
Education
Associates degree or equivalent work experience
Skills
Extremely detail oriented
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Outlook, Excel etc.)
Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Proven Time Management skills in a fast paced environment
Compensation and Benefits
This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $60,000 to $70,000 and benefits may include 401k matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
