Wedgewood Weddings is hiring a Prep & Line Cook!
The Wedgewood Weddings Banquet Line & Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the chef in all aspects of culinary operations including, but not limited to, purchasing, receiving, preparation, production, full event execution, sanitation, food safety, stewarding, utility staff management and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists Banquet Chef in execution of banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood Weddings standards and specifications.
- Completes prep work ensuring smooth execution of all events.
- Assists utility staff and dish area.
- Responsible for preparing food per specification and quantity levels from chef prepared prep sheets.
- Understands food allergies and produces high quality gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian meals as needed.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary kitchen that meets/exceeds all sanitation and food safety requirements as set forth by local governing agency.
Remember, we work when our clients and guests play, so weekend, evening and holiday availability is mandatory.
Wedgewood Prep/Line Cooks have:
- Have solid Line Cook experience
- Possess a passion for food and hospitality
- Have reliable transportation
- Practice safe food handling skills
- Are a positive and pro-active addition to our staff.
- Must have current ServSafe Food Handler’s card or ability to obtain certification upon hire

The important extras:
- As is typical in the hospitality industry, this position requires regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as shifts of more than 8 hours and workweeks of more than 40 hours.
