pastoral communities of Southern, Central and Northern Italy, enriched with local California,
seasonal ingredients.
A creative collaboration between restaurateur, Janet Zuccarini, and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.
The Role
As a Pasta Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence and authenticity of our pasta dishes. You will be responsible for crafting a variety of pasta types, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary creations. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is dedicated to the art of pasta making and eager to contribute to a dynamic culinary environment.
Pasta Preparation
- Skillfully prepare a variety of fresh pasta types, including but not limited to, tagliatelle, pappardelle, fettuccine, and ravioli
- Follow established recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and texture
- Monitor and adjust pasta cooking times to achieve the perfect al dente finish
Quality Control
- Inspect and select high-quality ingredients to use in pasta production.
- Implement strict quality control measures to maintain the restaurant's standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that pasta dishes meet the chef's specifications.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to organize and streamline Pasta Preparation.
- Communicate effectively to ensure a smooth workflow in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Contribute creative ideas for pasta dishes and seasonal specials.
Cleanliness and Organization
- Maintain a clean and organized pasta-making area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Regularly clean and maintain pasta-making equipment and utensils
Who You Are
Preference will be given to those who possess:
- Similar restaurant service experience
In-depth knowledge of pasta-making techniques and various pasta types.Proficient in full-service restaurant functions
- Strong Communication skills
- Strategic and Innovative Thinker
- Valid California RBS and ServSafe Food Handler Certifications
- Valid First Aid & OSHA Management Training an asset
- Passionate, Positive, and Approachable
