Seeking a friendly, caring, motivated individual with good people skills for a podiatry office. Duties include both receptionist and medical assistant work, as well as working with the billing company and dealing with A/R. Must be a team player, be able to multi-task, detailed oriented and cross train for all positions. Computer proficiency a must, familiar with electronic health records, scanning and insurance verification. Experience preferred but willing to train the right individual.
This is a part time position, roughly 30 hours per week. There is no health benefits.
Responsibilities
- Verifying Insurance Benefits
- Scheduling appointments
- Data Entry/Scanning
- A/R
- Reviewing Day Sheets and payment logs
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Arrange laboratory services
- Sterilize and package instruments
- Order supplies
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms
- Perform X-rays
- Casting for custom orthotics
- Dispensing DMEs
- Assisting doctors at Assisted Living Facilities
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant and receptionist
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and EMR/Cerner
