Job Title: LIMS SystemsManager / QC
Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000
Job Overview:
The Quality Control Systems Superintendent is responsible for managing and ensuring the functionality and quality standards of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and lab software. This role oversees adherence to control plans and specifications, develops and implements testing schemes, and maintains document control of QC procedures. Additionally, the supervisor leads equipment reliability programs, manages lab equipment service contracts, and maintains stability testing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure functionality of LIMS and lab software, including control plan adherence and sample group template adherence.
- Develop and implement testing schemes for stability, raw materials, and conservation.
- Align control plans and specifications throughout systems and manage gaps.
- Maintain document control of QC procedures and develop control charts for laboratory testing.
- Lead equipment reliability programs and manage lab equipment service contracts.
- Maintain and monitor stability testing programs and develop effective quality systems and procedures.
- Assist in CAPAs and investigations, interact with internal and external partners for development of best practices, and prepare KPIs metrics and reports.
- Install, calibrate, and test new equipment with connectivity to LIMS.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Chemistry.
- Minimum of 5 years in an equivalent position, preferably in LIMS management and laboratory systems.
- Working knowledge of laboratory practice and methods.
- Document control experience required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret documents and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations and reasoning ability.
- Ability to be CPR/First Aid certified.
