Life Engagement Coordinator - Personal Care

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator to join our Personal Care Team!

Current Opportunities:
Full-Time – dayshift, Monday through Friday
Part-Time – dayshift, including every other Saturday
Responsibilities:

• Provides an extraordinary customer service experience for our residents while encouraging independence in activities of daily living, where appropriate.
• Plans and implements Life Engagement Calendar, with final approval from Life Engagement Director, in accordance with regulations.
• Acquires supplies, schedules rooms and entertainment, and works with other departments when planning and rolling out activities.
• Conducts activities and programs, both in groups and individual settings, as scheduled.
• Assists with special functions, including creating, set-up, decorations, and clean-up.
• Contributes to a positive, caring approach that supports residents with dementia, while offering choices that encourage resident participation and in both their own care and activities.
• Respects and advocates for all residents’ rights and their preferences in their daily living.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• College Degree or National Accredited Activity Professionals Association Accreditation (NAAPAA) and/or equivalent experience a plus but not a must!
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with the senior population, preferably in Activities or a related field.
• Exceptional customer service skills required.
