Job Summary:
The Licensing Manger provides leadership, accountability, and direction to licensing team. Creates a culture of engaged colleagues through guiding principles and the development, mentorship, and creation of a positive service-oriented work culture.
Handles, with discretion, issues that are significant, complex, multidisciplinary, sensitive, and confidential. Exemplifies a culture of excellence and customer service in all processes with internal and external customers including current and future members of the Eagle Telemedicine staff, as well as administrative leaders within Eagle. Possesses and/or develops a strong grasp of the Eagle operations and the cultures of each affiliated institution and works to find common ground. Works to develop an overall outstanding culture of excellence and efficiency system wide.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Accountable for establishing and implementing an effective credentialing program essential to meeting contractual, state, federal and accreditation requirements. The Manager is responsible for the daily operations associated with the Licensing department. The Manager is responsible for assuring compliance and continual accreditation readiness with accreditation standards and other licensing and regulatory standards relative to licensing provider.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the supervision of the licensing personnel.
- Assign licensure bookings to team members.
- Audit team’s queue to ensure applications are sent to providers in a timely manner, and coordinators maintain regular contact with state medical boards.
- Create and maintain state licensing checklists.
- Take a proactive role in monitoring and assisting in improving staff productivity in accordance with standard turn-a-round times, assist in new staff training (as assigned) and assist in the annual evaluation process.
- Maintain and update credentials files, management of database entries for accuracy and completeness, and maintenance of electronic files as required.
- Assist with the development and implementation of initial licensing and renewal workflows to ensure efficient and effective alignment of processes.
- Participate in the processing of state applications as needed to meet the organizations goals.
- Enforce internal procedures and controls and problem resolution.
- Continually strive to achieve individual, team, and departmental goals.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of Joint Commission, DNV and NCQA regulations.
- Decision Making: Ability to make decisions that are guided by precedents, policies, and objectives. Regularly makes decisions and recommendations on issues affecting a department or functional area.
- Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are highly varied, complex, and often non-recurring, requiring staff input, innovative, creative, and Lean diagnostic techniques to resolve issues.

- Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.
Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of credentialing software and associated applications
- 2-3 Years Supervisory or management experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Certified Professional in Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) OR Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
- 5-7 years of legal, compliance, and licensing experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
