Monday - Saturday, 40 hours a week. Schedule will vary, with some evenings and Saturdays.

As an Outreach Librarian in our Outreach and Community Engagement staff, you will coordinate, plan, and oversee outreach services within the library and the community. You will strive to provide equitable access to library services to all members of the community by identifying under-served and at-risk populations, learning their needs, and developing and providing needed programs and services. You will also deliver age-appropriate materials to daycare sites, senior centers and independent and assisted living facilities and compile statistics on activities. Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills:

• Master's degree in library science from a university or college accredited by the American Library Association
• Minimum of 3 years of library experience
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
• Valid driver license required, with valid FL driver license within 30 days of hire.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of modern principles and practices of library science and software applications required to perform job duties.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, volunteers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong technology skills and the ability to help others with technology.
