The Opportunity:
The Hunt Library at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applications for the position of Resource Sharing Librarian. The Access Services Department is currently seeking a librarian who is passionate about serving a diverse population of residential and online students, faculty, and staff through connecting them with resources, managing course reserves, and engaging in collaborative projects with faculty and staff.

, serving Daytona Beach and our Worldwide Campus of online students, working regular business hours and occasional nights and weekends. This professional staff position reports to the Associate Director for Library Operations and Access Services. Hunt Library is a forward-thinking, technologically advanced library organization on the Ex Libris Alma ILS and offering a robust range of electronic collections and integrated library software.
Duties include working as part of a team providing access to library resources and services; overseeing the borrowing and lending functions of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and other types of document delivery, including working with Ex Libris Rapido/RapidILL and supervising the ILL Technician; serving as the lead for the Leganto Team, including coordinating Leganto configurations and functionality; managing print course reserves; serving as a member of the Collection Management Team and as a member of the Ex Libris Systems Team; and participating in collaborative team and cross-departmental assignments and special projects. No aviation or aerospace background is required: we welcome librarians from a wide variety of academic disciplines who will enjoy working with our dedicated, hardworking students, faculty, and staff. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science or information studies.
  • Experience with access services, interlibrary loan, and course reserves.
  • Knowledge of interlibrary loan software and systems like OCLC Worldshare ILL, Tipasa, ILLiad, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability of managing course reserves, developing course reserve policies, and maintaining course reserves records and statistics.
  • Experience with using integrated library systems (ILS) like Ex Libris Alma or similar platforms used for managing library collections and Resource Sharing.
  • Strong understanding of information retrieval methods, including databases, online catalogs, and other library resources.
  • Experience with supervising, leading, coaching, and guiding others.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to a diverse user population, including students, faculty, and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty/staff, students, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across library and organizational teams for projects such as collection management and library resource and service promotion.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Academic library experience.
  • Knowledge of copyright laws and best practices in interlibrary loan and Resource Sharing.
  • Experience with Ex Libris Rapido, and/or Leganto, or similar software.
  • Proficiency with learning management software such as Canvas.
  • Experience working and communicating effectively in a virtual environment.
