Central Library, 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. West, Bradenton, FL 34205
Monday - Saturday, 40 hours a week. Schedule will vary, with some evenings and Saturdays.

As a Librarian Iin our Info Services' staff, you will provide excellent customer service, reference support and problem resolution via services desks and virtual reference (Ask a Librarian). You will also conduct staff training and outreach events, create tutorial products for patrons and staff using a variety of software platforms and assist customers with using consumer and digitization technology. You will also have the opportunity to assist with creating displays and exhibits. Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills:

• Master's degree in library science from a university or college accredited by the American Library Association
• Valid driver license required, with valid FL driver license within 30 days of hire.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior library work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of modern principles and practices of library science and software applications required to perform job duties.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, volunteers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong technology skills and the ability to help others with technology
