Form of workChicago loop Attorney seeks Legal Assistant/ Law Clerk to provide assistance to principle attorney by performing administrative and clerical tasks in the areas of Family Law, Real Estate, Business law and Contract Negotiations. Candidate must be professional, highly motivated, and organized individual with a positive can-do attitude. Essential Functions:
- Assist in the drafting of correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc., copying, mailing, ensuring documents are filed with clerk of court;
- Update Attorney Calendar and Schedule motions, phone calls, meetings, etc.;
- Answer phones, ability to professionally communicate with clients in an effective manner;
- Run office errands.
Qualifications and Skills:
1-2 years of recent Legal Assistant/secretary experience preferred but not required, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
