Job description

The Legal Assistant/Floater role provides essential coverage to the attorneys during vacation and other absences of their regularly assigned assistant. Duties will include prepare, edit and format correspondence, pleadings and discovery documents for filing and service in multiple state and federal courts, time entry, billing, docketing, providing overflow assistance and other various general administrative duties. Performing general administrative tasks of filing, mailing, answering phone calls, and greeting clients. Strong attention to detail for docketing and file management is a must.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree preferred and minimum five years’ experience with demonstrated skills in complex civil litigation.
• Expert level knowledge of the MS Office suite. Solid grasp of technology iManage, Compulaw Vision (docketing), and Adobe.
• Experience with electronic filing in multiple state and federal jurisdictions.
• Docketing experience is required, and docketing software experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and maintain organization.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Openness to feedback and direction and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks, files, and pride in your work.
