Oaks Properties is searching for a Leasing Professional to join our Oaks Hackberry Creek Apartments in Irving, TX.
The Leasing Professional is responsible for the performance of all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals.
Leasing Professionals interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy. This includes generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation, and completing move-in paperwork and procedures. Performs all of the above following applicable laws and company policies.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties for a Leasing Professional:
- Handle all incoming phone and email inquiries regarding available apartments.
- Provide all information requested and encourage the prospect to schedule an appointment to visit the property.
- When a prospect visits the property, greet, assist and provide them with a tour of available apartments that meet their needs.
- “Sell” the prospect on renting from your community.
- Utilize all tools provided by Oaks Properties in order to sell your community (iPad, Touch Screen Monitor, etc.).
- Follow-up within 24-48 hours, via telephone, with prospects who have not made a decision.
- Qualify all prospective renters using company approved procedures.
- Process rental applications for the Resident Manager’s approval including administering background check, collecting application and deposit fees, and rental references.
- Move-in new renters, i.e., discuss lease and apartment community rules, and conduct move-in inspection. Move-out departing renters to include conducting a move-out inspection.
- Assist with ensuring all vacant units are market ready and informing Resident Manager or Maintenance of any issues.
- Assist in resolving resident complaints and answering resident questions.
- Assists with performing market research.
- Audit package locker system (where applicable) at a minimum of once per week.
- Other duties as assigned by the Resident or Assistant Manager
Minimum Requirements for a Leasing Professional:
- Previous leasing or sales experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and the public.
- Maintain a professional appearance by following company dress code.
- Excellent customer service skills
- OneSite (RealPage) and Lead2Lease experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Fluent in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
