Learning and Development Specialist (Contract)
Job Description
We are looking for excellent learning professionals with experience in instructional design, eLearning development, and training delivery to work on key enterprise training initiatives in consultant roles. Contractors in these roles will assist in creating training simulations, assessments, and job aids along with supporting the planning and delivery of training rollouts, managing the enrollment and evaluation process, performing needs assessments, developing and delivering training, and communicating training project updates to business units and project leads. The learning professionals will have opportunities to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills, time management excellence, the ability to be flexible, and a positive attitude are important qualities that you must possess.
Remote position, but will require some travel.
Full Time contract position with flexible start date, depending on your availability. Project(s) duration is TBD. Interested individuals could be considered for permanent employment positions that may become available.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a learning professional.
- Phenomenal communication, research, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Deliver high impact training both in person and virtually.
- Be able to quickly learn new technology and concepts.
- Be able to develop training materials and courseware such as course outlines, instructor guides, quick reference materials, job aids, and class exercises.
- Understand training and development principles and adult learning theory.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform in a team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, be flexible with change, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in an agile environment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of eLearning authoring tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline for building simulations and elearning courses.
- BS/BA in business, education, computer science, or other relevant field.
Job Type: Full-time Contract work
Hourly Rate: $29-36 (Rates vary based on project)
