BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
To greet and provide guest services on behalf of Ko-Kwel Gifts. Assist in merchandising, training and inventory counting.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- Greet and provide service to guests that include answering questions and directing guests to various areas of the casino hotel.
- Provide promotional information in regard to daily casino hotel activities and events.
- Act as ticket agent for upcoming events to include selling tickets, answering questions and data entry.
- Operate Agylisis system for sales.
- Opening, stocking, and closing duties dependent on shift.
- Check in freight and ticket merchandise.
- Maintain a balanced bank on shift.
- Inventory items as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Take a lead role in training and development of new CSRs.
- Participate in weekly inventory counts
- Primarily responsible for tracking, refilling and balancing cigarette machine on casino floor.
- Assist store manager in product selection and placement.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
- Six months retail experience with cashiering duties required.
- Basic mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions.
- Data entry, computer skills, and phone experience a plus.
- Ability to operate POS register.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with a high aptitude toward guest interactions.

Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
