Lead Credit Analyst
**One position will be filled at the Aberdeen, Conde, Hoven, Mitchell, Sioux Falls, or Watertown Branch but will be expected to be in Sioux Falls as needed, at least a few days a month.

- Ability to manage and prioritize numerous projects simultaneously in a time sensitive environment
- Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform job functions accurately and with attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidential customer and Bank information in a responsible and secure manner - Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel) and ability to learn new software programs
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and in a team environment with tight deadlines
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred, with a minimum of 7 years related and increasingly responsible credit underwriting demonstrating a strong understanding of financial statements, for commercial and agricultural credit
Responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
- The Lead Credit Analyst will be tasked to work closely agricultural and commercial Credit Analysts to review work and establish priorities
- Strong ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, solve problems independently and make recommendations/reports and presentations
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures, financial statements, and credit reports with strong analytical skills
- Mentor junior Credit Analysts and assist in departmental training
- Participate in process improvements and automation/enhancements to current activities/tasks
- The position is expected to leverage the Banker’s and EVP Credit Administration’s time by analyzing and underwriting credit requests with little supervision
- Ensures accurate entry of financial information (financial statements and tax returns) into programs such as Finastra, excel, word
- Analyze and interpret financial statements including projections for business and agricultural loans. Independent financial analysis to include analysis of trends, ratios, cash flow, and industry averages. This includes working with the loan officer and possibly the customer when necessary to obtain information
- Prepare written credit write-ups based on issues uncovered in financial/collateral analysis; review of internal loan accounting systems; compliance with bank policy; and provide written support for the recommended risk rating of each borrower
- Responsible for reviewing loans for covenant compliance
