Position Summary:
The Ag Credit Analist II is responsible for evaluating risk arising from specific loan requests and/or complex credit relationships within the agricultural industry. Determine the necessary information required to analyze and identify risks, gather relevant industry and environmental information, conduct site inspection upon request, and discuss issues with loan officers and senior management to evaluate the level of risk. Demonstrate ability to draw on agricultural credit experience and well-developed analysis skills to quantify the level of credit risk and make independent recommendations that mitigate risks consistent with loan policy and guidelines. Address appropriate credit structure and credit monitoring requirements. Prepare findings and recommendations into written reports for the appropriate loan approval authority. Prepare presentations for loan committee, senior management, and various other committees. Communicate well; own expectations and consequences.

What will you do:
Accountabilities
Underwriting
- Underwrite Bank documents, applications, and requests in a manner consistent with regulatory and Bank policies.
- Apply our processes and policies to credit requests.
- Analyze credit information and apply analysis techniques utilizing financial ratios and stress testing to evaluate the creditworthiness of a borrower.
- Prepare reports that detail the risks and strengths that will impact a financial decision.
Ag Portfolio Analysis
- Responsible for conducting analysis of Ag Portfolios. Follow up by providing findings and/or recommendations.
- Research and compare internal portfolio metrics to industry standards.
- Analyze broad agricultural trends and potential impacts to credit quality.
Partner with Others
- Partner with others to ensure team goals are met.
- Assist with special projects as assigned and needed by the department.
- Maintain tracking for borrowing case covenants.
- Maintain inspection credit report.
- Conduct loan coding review.
- Assist with RE projects.
Qualifications
Secondary education in related field preferred. Three or more years of relevant work experience or a combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position. Experience with banking or credit analysis preferred.
