The successful Case Manager Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of Case Managers, as well as handling the firm’s high-level clients. We assign every new client to a Case Manager. Your responsibilities will include calling current clients about the status of their medical treatment and keeping them up to date on their case. You will also be in contact with insurance adjusters and medical providers. The purpose of the overall work of the Case Managers is to gather the case material necessary for our attorneys. This position has the potential to sit in our Chicago Loop or Beverly offices or Indianapolis. This role has the potential to be on a hybrid remote schedule. (We are accepting applications for those with experience residing outside of Illinois or Indiana to work fully remote). There will be a training period, which takes place in the Beverly office.
Requirements:
· Experience with personal injury or a Law Firm setting.
· Experience with case management software.
· Conveys confidence on the phone.
· Sets the tone and the pace of the client phone call.
· Shows empathy to clients and puts them at ease during their difficult time.
· Demonstrates exceptional communication skills and active listening ability.
· Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Supervisory Requirements:
· Previous experience in a supervisory role or demonstrated leadership skills.
· Ability to provide guidance, support, and supervision to a team of Case Managers.
· Lead and motivate the case management team to achieve performance targets and goals.
· Ensure compliance with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the team.
· Collaborate with management to identify training needs and organize training sessions for Case Managers.
· Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
· Handle escalated client issues or complaints effectively and in a timely manner.
· Assist in resolving conflicts or issues within the case management team.
· Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in case management.
The Case Manager supervisor will ensure that the team of Case Managers will:
· Meet or exceed monthly caseload targets, ensuring timely and accurate case progression.
· Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and promptly responding to client inquiries.
· Ensure regular and effective communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their case.
· Adhere to established timelines for gathering case material and documentation.
· Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to prepare necessary documents and evidence for case proceedings.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in the case management software.
· Monitor and track medical treatments and appointments related to each case.
· Achieve or surpass goals for case settlements, negotiation outcomes, or other applicable performance indicators.
· Collaborate with the legal team to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
· Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information.
