Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Firm Manager join our team. The firm manager position includes but is not limited to tracking office finances, drafting motions, drafting contracts, and legal research. As a Firm Manager, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist with various legal tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for law and a desire to contribute to a dynamic legal environment.
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as contracts and motions
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Review and organize documents for discovery and trial preparation
- Maintain case files and ensure all documents are properly filed and organized
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Prepare correspondence, memos, and other legal documents
- Assist with document review and analysis
- Perform clerical tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal drafting and formatting
