Job Title: LatinaSHARE Outreach Manager

Compensation Range: $61k- $65k
SHARE Cancer Support is a national nonprofit that supports, educates, and empowers anyone who has been diagnosed with breast and gynecologic cancers, and provides outreach to the general public about signs and symptoms. We are a compassionate community of knowledgeable survivors, those living with cancer, and healthcare professionals.
The LatinaSHARE Outreach Manager works closely with the VP of Outreach to develop, plan and implement all of SHARE outreach programs and support services in order to meet the needs of those affected by breast, ovarian, uterine, or metastatic breast cancer.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with VP of Outreach LatinaSHARE’s Ambassador Program that provides awareness and education, informed peer support, empowerment, and advocacy to bring about better health care and improved quality of life for the Latinx underserved communities of New York City.
- Generate new avenues to reach people who can be helped by this program.
- Foster collaboration between AfroSHARE, ChineseSHARE and LatinaSHARE Ambassadors.
- In collaboration with other colleagues, coordinate LatinaSHARE outreach efforts and events (health fairs, presentations, and ambassador-related work). Generate Zoom links and manage LatinaSHARE Outreach emails and Zoom account.
- Lead and manage the creation of a database system and data collection processes of relevant information. i.e., facilitate extracting data for reports and statistics for LatinaSHARE Outreach.
- Ensure relevant data is shared with the Data Manager periodically.
- Ensure milestones and tasks are properly documented on Asana. (creation of timelines, deadlines, deliverables, assign responsibilities, etc.)
- Increase efficiency of outreach-related processes. i.e., evaluation/ assessment tools, documentation, reporting, tracking, email correspondence, fulfilling requests for communication materials, automation, ambassador communication and professional development.
- Partner with VP of Outreach to ensure communication materials are distributed (mailed, handed, etc.) and tracked.
- Represent SHARE at community and public events.
- Conduct research to identify community organizations, medical/healthcare professionals, patient navigators that would be outstanding community partners with SHARE to reach Latina women and their families.
- Research areas with high rates of Latinx population in NYC by utilizing city, state and federal data, and community organization reporting.
- Identify barriers to LatinaSHARE’s outreach programs and services, and partner with VP of Outreach in strategizing on how to overcome them.
- Liaison between LatinaSHARE Programs and LatinaSHARE Outreach to ensure that outreach content is up to date and on par with branding. Work with the LatinaSHARE Programs team in the development of content needed.
- Collaborate on translation of various SHARE materials and edit translated materials.
- May assist with developing and/or delivering presentations or training.
- In collaboration with Communications staff and VP of Outreach, contribute to content creation and initiative design for infographics, partner presentations, impact reports, influencer campaigns, ambassador manuals, external presentations, and aesthetic formatting of content developed and provided by Programs.
- Supervise LatinaSHARE Ambassadors
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Skills/Abilities:
- Bilingual, English and Spanish
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management, partnership development
- Proficient in using computer software and familiar with databases for record keeping and reporting.
Education and Experience:
- College or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4 years of work experience demonstrating strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of cancer community helpful, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
