P.M. Landscaping Services is looking for a Director of Operations to lead their office teams and field crews. In this role you are a vital part of the executive team that keeps the business running as the owner focuses on sales and business development. Your job is to brilliantly transform challenges into meaningful experiences for employees and clients.
P.M. was founded by Paolo Manca over 14 years ago and has grown into the premier landscaping design and maintenance services company in the region serving the who’s-who of residential and commercial clients in the area. You will oversee Landscape design and quoting, materials research, fleet management, the landscape supervisors, projects manager, and the maintenance services coordinator. You will develop high-performing Teams through training, improved problem-solving capability, timeliness of work, project scheduling, changes in crew, personal accountability and management of people and jobs. Overall, you will be accountable for the following:
- Landscaping projects completed on time, within budget and to client’s satisfaction.
- Profit margins on maintenance accounts.
- Employee retention, accountability, rewards, and recognition.
- Job Safety
Your daily activities are varied and interesting. We expect you will be in the field about 25% of your time to meet with the Landscape and Maintenances supervisors, be an example to the crew, and to meet with customers. In the office you will keep the landscape team performing so we can execute well on jobs and burn through our large pipeline of work. You will improve office support functions and overall communications between the office and the field. Here are some of the daily tasks you will be doing.
