Job Summary
This position is responsible for daily laboratory product/component testing, laboratory housekeeping, and supply inventory control in the manufacturing site.
Job Details/Responsibilities
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
2. Perform cleaning/disinfecting of labs and work areas.
3. Perform microbiological testing of products/components, per applicable procedures, including bioburden, LAL(endotoxin), product particulate, microbial identification, and water testing as well as environmental monitoring (non-viable particulate air, viable surface, and viable air).
4. Perform chemistry testing of products/components/materials, per applicable procedures, including gas chromatography (GC), FTIR, TOC, conductivity, pH, and identification of unknowns.
5. Interpret testing results/data and complete appropriate documentation.

6. Operate laboratory equipment, including autoclaves and depyrogenation ovens, and ensure all equipment used to perform testing has current calibration. Provide minimal preventative maintenance(PM) on equipment as needed.
7. Perform laboratory investigations of out-of-spec results per procedures.
8. Adhere to and support safety standards.
9. Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies.
10. Assist with special testing projects.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of laboratory experience. Basic computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office. Two-year college degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science preferred.
