```Overview```
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with medication administration and providing quality care to our residents. This position requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation. Experience in nursing homes or medical offices is preferred.
```Duties```
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Assist with medication refills and ensure an adequate supply is maintained
- Document medication administration accurately and timely
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with resident assessments and communicate any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Provide compassionate care to residents, including those with dementia
```Requirements```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medication Technician training program
- Current certification as a Medication Technician or willingness to obtain certification
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in phlebotomy is a plus
- Previous experience in caregiving or working in a nursing home or medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
