A large chemical supply company is seeking a Lab Technician for a full-time opportunity. You will work third shift from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
A large chemical supply company is seeking a Lab Technician for a full-time opportunity. You will work third shift from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Quality Assurance Lab Tests on compounded rubber products using various test instruments and equipment to meet specifications
- Monitor and record tests
- Set-up, adjust, and operate lab equipment, Rheometer, salt bath tank, etc.
- Prepare, test, cut samples, and weigh and mix ingredients for the production line
- Review and record weighs of raw materials
- Complete daily Mill Safety Stop Checklist, Lab Checklist, etc.
- Work with production to resolve QA issues
- Assist other technicians and operate a tow motor as needed
- Keep the work area clean and safe
Requirements:
- Must have previous Lab Technician experience with the ability to set-up, adjust, and operate lab equipment
- Must have excellent written, verbal communication, and troubleshooting skills
- Must have the ability to perform tests, weigh and mix raw materials, and keep accurate and up-to-date records
- Must have a solid work history
- Must be comfortable working in a dirty manufacturing environment
