Job Description
Responsible for testing raw materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable regulatory and company standards. Conduct daily monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices in Production and Warehousing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Timely testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable regulatory and company standards
• Perform calibration of quality control equipment prior to testing.
• Conduct daily monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices in Production and Warehousing.
• Perform inspections across all stages of production
• Prepare and maintain test data for review
• Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
• Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
• Keep records of quality reports and relevant documentation
• Clean, sanitize and maintain work / testing area and equipment according to company standards.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College degree preferred but not required.
• Solid understanding of test equipment and calibration
• Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience
• Experience in food production or testing would be a plus
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
• Good record keeping skills
