Job DescriptionSummary:
Meta Reality Labs is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as Lab Development Specialist for the Technology Engineering for Devices group. Your job will be to support a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technical leads. You will marshal our efforts to provide lab spaces, equipment, and resources used to further Reality Labs mission to create the ultimate AR and VR experiences. You will ensure this is understood and widely disseminated throughout RL, working closely with internal engineering teams on requirements and needs as well as external vendors to build and maintain these state-of-the-art Lab facilities.

Lab Development Specialist Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for coordinating lab build-out, equipment installation & upgrade, and maintenance
2. Work with cross functional engineering managers and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver high quality lab working environments
3. EH&S team, ensure compliance with currently established EH&S protocols
4. Define the strategy and plans for directing and communicating lab safety and operations
5. Ensure laboratory development process documentation is generated, updated, and reviewed to a high standard
6. Source and maintain laboratory equipment and machinery and inventories of supplies in partnership with Lab Operations Management and EH&S
7. Work with the site facilities team to address issues affecting labs

8. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
9. 5+ years' experience managing a technology lab facility with core responsibilities in operations.
10. Experience with database systems
11. Experience managing vendor and contractor engagements
12. Recognition of lab safety as a priority, experience with EHS compliance
13. Communication experience to facilitate the work of a multidisciplinary team
14. Time management skills with experience to meet deadlines
15. Effective organizational and time management skills

Public Compensation:
$129,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
