Tesla participates in the E-Verify Program
This position will work as a member of Tesla’s Instrumentation and Imaging Team to support engineering teams with equipment for tests performed in-house and at external test labs. This role is responsible will be responsible for coordinating external calibrations and test equipment allocation. The successful candidate for this position will have a broad background calibrations and project management.
- Maintain inventory of test equipment (accelerometers, thermocouples and strain gauges) and photo equipment
- Manage the stock of general lab supplies, such as tape, glue, cables, connectors, and more
- Check in/ out test equipment to internal customers
- Maintain and organize the laboratory space, promoting a safe and tidy working environment
- Provide support to the Instrumentation team by gathering necessary equipment for tests, ensuring that all items are in working order and up-to-date in service
- Serve as a bridge between the Instrumentation Team and various departments within the organization
- Coordinate calibration efforts both internally and externally across all teams involved in testing, including potential maintenance or repair tasks
- Keep a close eye on equipment, including tracking shipments to and from suppliers and external calibration providers
- Thoroughly examine documentation for incoming equipment
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a test laboratory setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of test equipment (accelerometers, thermocouples, etc) and photography equipment (high speed cameras, lighting, etc) is preferred, but not required.
- Effective multitasking skills, organization, and time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), as well as Adobe products.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with various individuals, including the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Capability to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs throughout the day.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining a diverse range of hand and power tools, shop equipment, and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

$18.40 - $57.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
