KYC Quality Control- VP

The KYC QC VP will review the Customer Due Diligence on new to bank clients including the execution of Customer Risk Assessments, AML analysis (UBO analysis and screening results applied to Client Risk Matrix). The Due Diligence involves ensuring SDD/CDD/EDD is undertaken as required under KYC policy and standards. In addition, the Regs & Tax QC Analyst will check if Customer Due Diligence on new to bank clients meets the Regulatory & Tax requirements.
Furthermore, the KYC QC VP will perform KYC check the reviews on existing clients periodically done by CDD analyst, based on the client risk rating, or as a result of a trigger events. The review involves ensuring SDD/CDD/EDD is brought up to date and verified as required under AML policy and standards, including a review of client activity over the period and the products requested are still valid. The review includes verify if inactive clients have been identified and proposed for off-boarding.
Regards Regs & Tax verify that reviews on existing clients periodically have done at the regulatory & tax level, based on their active products, or as a result of a trigger events
In addition, KYC QC VP should review the new products requested by the clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review on a daily basis the status of each case for each QC checker, coordinating the KYC process and ensuring that the process is finished complying with the SLA agreed
• Report daily to the KYC QC Head the productivity of the team and cases pending to be completed, alerting the ones aged more than 48 hours.
• Review the quality execution of the team, promoting shadowing, 4 eyes check when needed, analyzing rejection from Local RAC and to CDD.
• Escalation point of the relevant issues raised by QC Checkers and accountable to open incident in Comunic@ with a clear description, action plans and stakeholders involved.
• Ensuring coordination and communication between CDD analyst and QC checkers to make sure the rejection are being discussed together and previously to be rejected.
• Detect the improvement are on systems, processes and procedures and implement the actions agreed with the rest of stakeholders.
• Manage the communication between the CDD analyst/team leads and the other teams involved on the KYC End to End process.
• Be as a contact point/support for the queries the analyst may have
• Ensure that the QC analyst complies with Global Manuals and Operational procedures and keep them up to date with the new changes received
• UAT and support on new IT releases and new procedures implementation
Knowledge, Experience, Behaviours and Specific Qualifications:
• Experience on human resources and personnel management processes; Lead, motivate, evaluate and reward personnel
• 6+ years' experience in financial crime (KYC/AML & Sanctions) is essential, preferably in an on-boarding / refresh role and experience in Compliance (Regulatory & Tax) is essential, preferably in an on-boarding / refresh role.
• A working knowledge of multiple entity types is required including Corporates, Non-Banking Financial Institutions, F.I.'s, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Mutual Funds etc. Knowledge of regulatory classifications across Dodd Frank, FATCA & Volcker and Markets Regulations is desirable.
• Experience in banking is beneficial; ideally from an investment or corporate banking environment to understand the customers and their people (shareholders/ controllers), or in a similar environment where this experience could be gained.
• Technology skills are required including the use of Excel and the ability to learn how to operate CDD/EDD capture systems and use external vendor tools, for which training will be provided.
• Analytical skills are important, supported by appropriate experience or qualification.

For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $108,000-$140,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
