Position Summary: Compliance Manager, Sr is responsible for managing and coordinating activities regarding ethics and anti-corruption compliance policies, programs, and implementation for Airbus U.S. and its subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ethics & Compliance Program: 45%

  • Assist in developing, maintain and manage the Airbus U.S. Ethics & Compliance policies and related procedures, including but not limited to the Code of Conduct, Gifts & Hospitality (G&H) Policy, Sponsorships, Donations, and Memberships (S&D) Policy, Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy, Know Your Supplier (KYS) Policy, Conflicts of Interest (CoI), Third Party Policy, Investigations of Compliance Allegations Policy, and Resellers Management.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnering relationships with the central Airbus Ethics & Compliance function to ensure the Airbus U.S. policies remain consistent and current with overall Airbus Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) related policies and procedures; work to integrate any newly identified ABC-related policies into the Airbus U.S. framework.
  • Develop and sustain an annual and ongoing training program consistent with the central Airbus E&C program as relevant and appropriate covering the Code of Conduct, CoI, G&H, S&D, KYC, and KYS to promote a strong ethical culture consistent with the Airbus Integrity Principles and to ensure awareness of the Ethics & Compliance program throughout the company.
  • Coordinate with central Airbus E&C on "Team Talks" to consider adopting and tailoring for use within Airbus U.S.
  • Develop and sustain a training program for managers regarding the treatment of allegations received from employees related to any compliance matter.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnering relationships with Airbus U.S. functions including finance, supply chain, sales/business development, human resources, as appropriate to ensure all ethics and compliance requirements are integrated into other relevant functional areas.
  • Conduct, coordinate, manage, and participate in internal compliance audits and assessments in coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer; and take follow up action where necessary or advisable to develop and implement remedial actions;
  • Coordinate risk assessments pertaining to Ethics & Compliance as part of the Airbus Enterprise Risk Management system.

Ethics & Compliance Program Implementation: 50%

  • Provide day-to-day ethics and compliance guidance to operational and functional support personnel.
  • Manage and promote the Airbus OpenLine ("hotline") and SpeakUp culture.
  • Deliver, monitor, and track completion of all required E&C program training to reach 100% adherence; make training statistics available upon demand.
  • Deliver, monitor, and track completion for all training provided to managers to reach 100% adherence regarding handling of compliance allegations.
  • Promote the Airbus U.S. Code of Conduct; track acknowledgment of receipt by all employees, contract personnel or other relevant external parties to reach 100% acknowledgment of receipt; make acknowledgement statistics available on request.
  • Review, process, approve or escalate for approval as relevant by policy, Gifts & Hospitalities (G&H) and Sponsorship, Donations, & Memberships (S maintain related registries, in accordance with Airbus U.S. G&H and S&D policies.
  • Receive requests for engagement of Special Advisors, Sales Intermediaries, and Lobbyists (together "E&C third parties") conduct anti-bribery and corruption due diligence, schedule required compliance committees and conduct necessary interviews; facilitate the review and approval to the Airbus board of directors; and maintain a published list of approved and engaged E&C third parties, in accordance with the Airbus U.S. Third Party Policy.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of E&C third parties, including monthly of activity reports to ensure adherence to contractual requirements for reporting and coordination with trade compliance to monitor for brokering activity under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Receive requests received under the KYC and KYS policies; conduct anti-bribery and corruption due diligence on customers and suppliers; provide timely guidance back to the relevant operational or functional requestor; maintain an ongoing register of customers and suppliers reviewed and approved.
  • Receive, document, and facilitate adjudication of any allegation received via any means including through the Openline, from an employee directly or through a line manager; maintain a registry of allegations and report to central Airbus E&C as appropriate.
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct, in coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer, investigations of compliance allegations; identify any violations of policy, conduct root cause analysis, and develop appropriate corrective actions or consequential management to be applied.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for Board members and senior executives as required.

Other duties may be assigned: 5%

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in international business, management, liberal arts, or related discipline and five (5) years work experience supporting ethics, compliance, or legal functions OR a combination of experience and education

Experience:

  • Familiarity with ethics and compliance laws and regulations, and/or procedures required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters discreetly with sensitivity to employee and company privacy concerns.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • SCCE certification preferred, but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision under demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, process improvement, maintaining confidences, and fairness.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Conversational ability in one or more of the following languages is a plus, but not required: German, French, or Spanish, French, and/or Spanish.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related business software applications.

Travel Required:

  • 10% Domestic and International

Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance

Decision Making, Complexity:

Must be a self-starter and can independently prioritize workload against various deadlines.
