Since opening in 1993, we continue honoring the spirit of the Phantom Canyon and Chief Two Moons by dedicating ourselves to giving Colorado Springs the best beer, the best food and the best hospitality we can. Our historical building dates back to 1901 and all three levels of our building share stories from brew and food lovers of all walks of life.
We are now hiring a Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team.
Our guests visit for the casual dining main floor restaurant, the 2nd floor billiard hall with large outdoor patio and to attend events on our renovated 3rd floor event space. As the Kitchen Manager you will lead the entire culinary team throughout the business.

The Kitchen Manager leads all aspects of our culinary business while delivering a high-quality experience for our team and guests. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the Kitchen Manager will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to exceed our guests’ expectations. Responsible for all back of house operations, you will ensure efficient operations, while maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards. In this position you will be expected to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Kitchen Manager will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guests have fantastic dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals
- Coordinate daily Back of House restaurant operations
- Develop, train staff, and execute all menus for the restaurant
- Regularly review product quality, estimate food requirements, place orders, and manage food/labor costs
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Recruit, hire and manage all kitchen staff
- Respond efficiently and accurately to guest concerns
- Give prepared plates the “final touch”
- Perform administrative duties
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven working experience as an Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar role in a fast-paced, high volume and full-service environment
- Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Passionate about the industry and able to keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Financial management skills
