Overview - What You’ll Do
As a Kitchen Manager at Lava Island, you'll be the driving force behind the effective performance of our cafe. By training, coaching, and mentoring our employees, you'll elevate our service standards to create memorable experiences for our Guests. Your responsibilities may extend to various café functions, including hiring, scheduling, staff development, inventory management, and maintenance.
Responsibilities - How You’ll Do It
- Supervise the café team to consistently deliver exceptional service
- Coach and develop café team members, fostering Associate engagement
- Uphold café operational procedures, service standards, and food safety protocols, with a focus on Guest Satisfaction
- Ensure the café is efficiently staffed and operational
- Embody Lava Island’s Core Values
- Ensure excellent compliance, cleanliness, quality control, and food handling
- Execute other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications - What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of kitchen management experience preferred.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Collaborative team player with high energy and enthusiasm
- Self-awareness, adaptability, and integrity
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and navigate stairs for extended periods
- ServSafe Certified OR completion of the ServSafe course within two months of hire.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
