Southern Foodservice Management is currently seeking a Chef for our early morning operation in Aurora. We need your creativity and imagination to help us to create the food and dining experience that daily customers are looking for, while also maximizing the use of all food products throughout the operation. This position will be responsible for developing and executing kitchen and dining operations to meet our client and customers’ needs and tastes, while maintaining the budgeted operational costs. This position will also have some managerial duties assigned to be handled on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.
In this position, the Chef is a representative of Southern Foodservice Management and are expected to operate within the guidelines established by the client organization as well as Southern Foodservice Management. This is a secure location that requires an extensive background check and drug screening to be a potential candidate.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Must be ServSafe Certified.
· Hands On during the daily preparation of a food items that are served in the unit.
· Satisfy the needs of the client and customers, by providing high quality, cost effective foodservice.
· Weekly Menu and Recipe Development.
· Daily Interaction with Guests.
· Participate and lead employee training programs in areas of customer service, food safety, workplace safety, etc.
· Maintain a safe and sanitary operation following Local, State and Federal health regulations, including following the HACCP guidelines to prevent food borne illnesses.
· Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels to achieve budgeted operational costs.
· Reach highest standards in food quality, by utilizing recipes and programs provided by Southern Foodservice Management.
Qualifications and Job Skills:
· Must be a U.S. Citizen.
· Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in similar types of operations.
· Must implement quality control procedures to enhance efficiency in preparation, presentation and service of food.
· Ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff as well as respond effectively and quickly to changing demands on the general manager in this job.
· Ability to create a team-oriented atmosphere that focuses on effective production as well as delivering a high level of customer service to every customer.
