Word of Mouth is a breakfast and lunch restaurant. We are expanding with a 3rd location and seeking to add more members to our team. Seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Kitchen Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standarss
- Effectively Manage inventory and order supplies as needed - must be organized
-Manage a team:
- Train and supervise BOH team
- Leads by example and maintains a guest first focus.
- Sets and shares goals with team, monitors and tracks progress of goals.
- Directly and honestly addresses issues and resolves conflicts and seeks opportunities for improvement.
- Follow standard recipes to ensure consistency in food quality
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures
- Create weekly specials, utilizing knowledge of inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
-Required, under certain circumstances, to perform/assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous 2+ year experience as Kitchen Manager
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food handling procedures
- Excellent leadership and clear communication skills
-Excellent organizational skills
-Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of kitchen management principles, including inventory control and cost management
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and holidays
-Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
-Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold environment & cleaning chemicals
-Able to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and depts. of 2 ½ - 3 feet.
-Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided
-Must be able to read, write and perform addition/subtraction calculations
-Must be able to control and utilize fingers to write, slice chop and operate equipment.
-Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times
-Carry food products weighing about 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
