KITCHEN MANAGER (no nights or weekends!)
Deli Time was established in 1991 to provide high end food service in Class A office buildings in the Chicagoland area. We’re focused on our growing catering division and seek a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our team of support personnel to provide a high-quality experience to our customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- · Minimum 3-5 years of stable work experience (2 years must be as hands-on Kitchen Manager) in the hospitality industry, preferably in a corporate catering or ghost kitchen setting.
- · Strong culinary background with knowledge of food production and banquet operations
- · Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- · Excellent organizational and time management skills
- · Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- · Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and staff
- · Knowledge of food service management principles and practices
- · Valid Driver’s license
- Spanish a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT AREN’T LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- · Oversee all aspects of the catering department, including planning, organizing, and executing events
- · Daily food preparation and cooking following company provided recipes
- · Develop and implement catering strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals
- · Collaborate with clients to create customized menus and event plans
- · Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of events
- · Manage a team of catering staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- · Manage outside drivers including hiring, training, and scheduling
- · Manage and maintain fleet of catering vehicles
- · Monitor and control expenses and inventory to meet budgetary guidelines
- · Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- · Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
COMPENSATION, HOURS AND OTHER:
- · M, T, W, TH, F 7:00 AM -3:00 PM (Flexibility may be required for earlier or later hours at times) NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS!!
- · Up to $25/hour commensurate with experience.
