Responsibilities
Role:
Facilitate development of customer artwork to press ready material for Beverage Merchandising
converting plants.
Act as a liaison between the customer, facility, and pre-press suppliers.
Build professional cooperative relationships/partnerships with converting facility team members,
commercial sales team members, customers and suppliers.
Interface with customers and designers to develop reproducible artwork.
Educate sales team members and customers on artwork requirements.
Customer Focus:
Receive and process customer designs to meet our manufacturing specifications and customer
expectations.
Educate customer and/or customer's agent on printing processes, printing limitations and artwork
specifications.
Negotiate design changes with customer and/or customer's agent in order to create a design that
meets the needs of manufacturing and the customer.
Maintain customer assets and customer files for all items processed.
Conduct face-to-face meetings with customers as required. Support sales force by managing customer
requests and inquiries.
Meets the needs of internal and external customers.
Negotiate pricing, as required, for services and materials.
Seek the lowest cost solution for all services and materials.
Manages customer expectations in a polite manner through education; electronic examples; alternative
ideas to meet customer needs.
Effective in the art of compromise as appropriate for situation.
Qualifications
Functional and Technical Skills:
Proficient in basic MAC skills: open MAC files; make PDFs; push files to FTP site or place in drop box;
maneuver within MAC file to find PMS colors, fonts, etc.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
Pre-flight Illustrator and PDF files.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint PC software.
Proficient in SAP Purchase Order and Requisition systems and processes.
Evaluates and is current on software changes that affect or apply to the Graphic Services team and
customers. Educates both on changes as required.
Understands and applies artwork manufacturing specifications to submitted files. Creates artwork orders
that specifically describe work to be completed by prepress supplier.
Understand and utilizes electronic workflow for processing items. Request enhancements and changes to
workflow as required.
Understands basic accounting terms and processes. Assists Finance and accounts payable team with
supplier and customer invoicing as needed. Provides education to accounts payable and accounting
team members on art and plate purchasing process.
Develops and standardizes pre-press specifications.
Support evaluation and execute the implementation of new pre-press technologies.
Develops and maintains artwork die lines.
Prepares designs for customers that meet artwork specifications upon request.
Understands the mechanics of and has the ability to communicate the conversion of 4/c process to line
flexo and/or other technologies.
Adjusts customer art to meet artwork specifications using Adobe Creative Suite.
Prepares side by side comparisons for customers/sales as required.
