Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve kitchen operations
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a fast-paced food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Knowledge of bartending, hotel catering, banquet, or coffee production is a plus
