Summary of Position:
The Kitchen Manager is in charge of coordinating and supervising a restaurant’s kitchen staff according to food safety standards. Their duties include hiring, training, and scheduling Cooks, performing quality control on food leaving the kitchen and ordering inventory to keep up with demand.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day culinary operations and activities of the Whirlyball facility.
- Maintains operational control of purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists, and inventory of all kitchen items.
- Monitors performance of staff and ensure all procedures are completed to the department standards.
- Hires new staff and provides training to all kitchen employees.
- Streamlines the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times.
- Works with the Head Chef to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
- Sets regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifies that staff is maintaining sanitation standards.
- Creates schedules for all kitchen staff.
· Tracks kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste.
· Reorders stock and supplies for the kitchen.
· Assists in opening and closing procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
· Highschool degree, GED or equivalent.
· Prior experience working in a high-volume restaurant.
· Banquet experience necessary.
· Minimum of five (5) years experience, preferred.
· Must be available early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry-out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate, listen, and see. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for over 8 hours, occasionally sit. The employee will occasionally lift, push, or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
