Kitchen Designer

We are a local Long Beach, CA design + build company specializing in cabinetry, remodels, and kitchen and bath design. Residential kitchen renovations are most of our projects.

We are currently looking for a Kitchen Designer to join our team. We are seeking an individual with cabinet experience to work with clients and place, manage, and expedite product orders. This individual should also have experience with maintaining vendor relationships, is detailed, and provides friendly and knowledgeable design professionalism to our clients and our team.

This position can be a part-time or full-time position.

Daily Tasks:

• Greeting and speaking with potential clients and introducing them to our services and offerings.
• Kitchen Designing – Site measuring, drawing cabinetry elevations in 2020 software and/or another equivalent drawing program, pricing cabinetry, knowledge of appliance and kitchen plumbing, understanding other materials used in kitchen remodel execution (countertops, tile, flooring, and hardware), and building and maintaining client expectations and relationships throughout the design process.
• Order Placing and Management – Working closely with the internal team, vendors, installers, and contractors from order placement through final product installation – placing and tracking orders, coordinating delivery and schedules, and assisting with installation oversite.
• General Studio Management – Maintaining vendor accounts and relationships, keeping up the kitchen material sample and resource library, contributing to team and studio activities, and bringing a positive and fun personality to the team.

Required skills:

• Proficient in 2020 Design Software
• Skilled in using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar, as well as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with cabinets (cabinetry construction, layouts, designs and styles)
• Experience with processing orders, invoices, and project schedules
• Experience with cabinetry installation oversite
• Strong verbal and written communication
• High attention to details, is organized with the ability to multitask
• Generally technologically savvy
• Creative, outside-the-box thinker

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay
