The Residential Design Sales Associate "Interior Designer certificate a plus" is a position with ample opportunity for growth with a focus on customer relations. Understanding the Design Center customer and offering a positive experience in our showroom. This position is expected to work independently with clients, must have strong communication skills and follow up on our walk-in customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Build genuine and sincere relationships with clients
- Greet all customers upon entering the store
- Follow up with clients via email, phone, and mail when appropriate
- Determine the client's needs: what is their project
- Strong communication and Follow through is essential for this sales role
- Help Client Select Plumbing fixtures, tile, countertops, flooring, and ready-made vanities.
- Develop vast knowledge of showroom products
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a high level of awareness for customer service, operations, merchandising standards.
Required Education and/or Experience
- Sales Experience in the Kitchen & Bath Industry a plus. Interior Designer certificate a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Office
- Knowledge or ability to learn QuickBooks Software
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Work with our manufacturer representatives to better understand products and build good working relationships
- Organization of showroom, samples, and swatches
- Contribute to Northbay's goal of providing complete customer satisfaction
Physical Requirements
- Sample sorting and organization require the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Frequently sits, stands, and walks. Occasionally twists/turns, bends, kneels, and reaches overhead.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
