Under general supervision of program executives, candidate is responsible for the basic functions of the TK and Kinder Expanded Learning program. Candidate must work well under pressure, think creatively, and must be great at multitasking. It is an excellent position for a college student, recent graduate and/or someone desiring a career in education. We are seeking long-term candidates to grow with our organization and provide quality education to our students in these areas of focus: academics, athletics and enrichment. Candidates who can utilize their unique talents to enhance the program will have priority consideration. However, if you simply have a passion for teaching, this may be the opportunity for you.
General Description:
Working on elementary school campuses, BASE Programs is an Expanded Learning program that provides quality enrichment opportunities to elementary aged students during non-school hours. We are a curriculum-based program with a focus on STEM, Visual & Performing Arts and Physical Education. In collaboration with Oceanside Unified SchoolDistrict, we provide Expanded Learning programs at 8 elementary schools in Oceanside.

Hours: Monday-Friday 12:00-6:00pm *additional hours available
Essential Duties: Assist in the preparation and implementation of lesson plans. Lead class of 10:1 ratio in age appropriate lessons. Program coordination with school faculty and BASE team. Provide quality interaction with students, teachers and parents.
Qualifications: college coursework in education or related field and/or official ECE units and/or certification from an accredited community college and experience working with children.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
