THE OPPORTUNITY 

TechInsights is currently seeking a Junior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented information that enables our key stakeholders to make decisions that support the company’s strategic objectives and drive innovation and growth. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. 

This role will be on location in our Denver, CO office. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO  

• Deliver Actionable Insights 

• Work closely with managers and key stakeholders to understand and maintain focus on analytics needs, including critical metrics 80 and KPIs, and to deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers. 

• Proactively analyze data to answer key business questions, with an eye on what drives business performance. 

• Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources 

• Analytical Assets Maintenance and Documentation 

• Periodically reassess existing dashboards and reports with an eye for identifying inconsistencies and relevant needed improvements. 

• Document underlying data sources and analyses with ease of knowledge transfer in mind. 

• Learning and Knowledge Sharing 

• Continuously look for opportunities to expand skillset, and for innovative tools and methods that could benefit the analytics team as a whole. 

• Share findings and best practices with the rest of the team, 

• Assist non-technical users with data and analytics questions. 

WHO YOU ARE 

• Minimum of one to two years' experience required.  

• Proficient in data wrangling, cleaning and preparation using a variety of tools and techniques and able to quickly learn new ones. Expert knowledge of Excel is required. 

• Skilled in fundamental concepts of data and statistical analysis techniques. 

• Adept in data visualization, dashboarding and reporting: Tableau experience is required but experience with other visualization tools will also be considered. A basic understanding of or exposure to Machine learning is a definite plus. Working knowledge of Google Analytics is also a definite plus. 

• Knowledge of common database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, etc.) and comfortable querying databases (using SQL at a minimum and/or other programming languages). Knowledge of AWS RedShift is a plus. 

• Ability to clearly convey findings, both written and orally to non-technical stakeholders. 

• Ability to operate at high levels of collaboration with other team members, other teams and departments. 

• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of collaborative software preferred.
