Job Summary:
Lightbeam, a leading healthcare technology company specializing in population health analytics and value-based care enablement, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Attorney to join our organization in Dallas, Texas. This teammate will play a critical role in supporting the executive team, sales processes, and business development efforts, in addition to managing a wide range of legal matters, including contract creation, review, and negotiation, internal legal work, and support during strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and protecting the company's interests
- Provide legal support for strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct legal research and provide advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of legal issues
- Support the executive team in managing and resolving legal disputes and litigation
- Assist with the management of the company's intellectual property portfolio, including the registration and protection of trademarks and patents
- Provide legal support for sales processes, business development efforts, and reseller relationships
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Texas State Bar
- 1-3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the healthcare or technology sectors
- Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, and relevant healthcare regulations
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other legal research tools
