Jr. Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager

Summary: Provide support to the Accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks preparing reports, and managing projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
· Post and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
· Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
· Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
· Maintain financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
· Reconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
· Provide financial status information by preparing special reports; completing special projects.
· Correct errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
· Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations prepaids; analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
· Secure financial information by completing database backups, keeping information confidential.
· Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
· Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
· Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· Hands-on experience working with general ledgers.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
· Deadline-oriented.
· Confidentiality, coordination, thoroughness, quality focus, and objectivity.
