Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of IT, the Jr. Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the environment’s patching program, SIEM solution, infrastructure, and operations across the Atlas Network.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Infrastructure:
- Oversee the implementation, and maintenance of the organization's technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems.
- Support use of business system applications, including eSource, eRegulatory, Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), Internal audit software.
- Support and maintain the SIEM solution
- Deploy monthly patches using the Manage Engine, Intune, or equivalent tool within the Atlas environment
- Monitor and deploy the company’s antivirus and DLP solutions (CrowdStrike)
- Create and manage user accounts in M365 and Windows AD
- Assist the Sr. System Administrator with day-to-day activities
- Procure, configure, and deliver hardware both locally and remotely (shipping)
Security and Compliance:
- Implement IT security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
- Stay current with cybersecurity threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, including but not limited to the data privacy and security requirement in the Code of Federal Regulations, NYS Shield Act and HIPAA.
Vendor Management:
- Work with external vendors and service providers to procure and manage technology solutions.
- Track performance issues and escalate issues to replacement/vendor support. Open tickets via vendor portals where applicable.
Project Management:
- Participate in IT projects, including special initiatives, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support for end-users, addressing issues and providing training as needed.
Emerging Technologies:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the organization.
- Recommend new technologies to enhance business processes and capabilities.
Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate IT issues, and performance concerns to the Sr. Sys Admin and Director of IT
- Assist with reporting.
Qualifications
- AS degree in computer science, IT, or related business field.
- At least three years working in an IT environment in a business setting, medical business preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft server administration and active directory (AD)
- Prior experience with CrowdStrike AV and Manage Engine tools is a plus
- Ability to work on hardware (replacing hard drives and memory upgrades)
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Wage/Salary: starting at $24/hour
