MISSION :
This role is based in Parsippany, NJ and is hybrid.
As a Jr. Financial Analyst you will coordinate internal and external financial reporting and auditing for all US businesses. Specific responsibilities include:
Assist in managing the reporting to parent company using local and corporate reporting system (GPS); encompasses sales reporting, inventory, variances and expenses for 5 US entities.
Ensure compliance with local and corporate financial policies.
Coordinate maintenance of item master database to ensure compliance with reporting system guidelines.
Manage and roll product costs
Coordinate with logistics and purchasing on product costing within freight and customs areas.
Assess current and future functionalities within accounting and finance information systems; recommend improvements and upgrades to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist in managing internal/external audit engagements; conduct internal control audits, and recommend improvements as needed.
Support accounting team with month-end closing/reporting to parent company.
Prepare monthly analytics and participate in budget/forecast preparation including uploading data to corporate reporting system.
Coordinate and participate in transversal projects involving Finance department; participate in other special projects as needed.
PROFILE:
- Bachelors Degree - Accounting or Finance.
- 2 to 4 years relevant work experience, specifically including strong general accounting and audit experience in a multi-national for-profit organization.
- Strong SAP (FICO module) and general systems proficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to learn multiple new systems
- Demonstrated leadership, influence, credibility with business partners and peers within Finance community; ability to work effectively across a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including across nationalities and cultures.
