Journeyman Network Administrator

Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Journeyman Network Administrator to work at MacDill AFB, FL. A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities.
• In addition, the Government may require Candidates to be on call 24/7 in case of network failures or emergencies. 
• Typical duties include: 
  • Administering the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures
  • Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrades
  • Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems
  • Administering LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and spam control measures 

Experience/Skills:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Skills and experience with a variety of network 41 protocols, software, and hardware involved in LAN and WAN operations.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience will be considered.

Certification:

• DoDD 01-M IAT II AND CCNA OR CC DevNet Associate OR Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) certifications required

Clearance:

• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC'S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
