Jeff Temp - Respiratory Therapist

JeffTemps, Jefferson's in-house temp service, is seeking experienced, Certified Respiratory Therapists to apply for our temporary pool. We invite you to be a part of a select team committed to superior care.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Under direct supervision of the Supervisor, Respiratory Therapist performs assessment, treatment and education to patients with the goal of delivering highest quality care to all age groups.
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team with physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals to provide effective, quality respiratory care.

Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge base of the cardiopulmonary system and medical terminology.
• Experienced in all facets of Respiratory Care, including Adult and Neonatal Critical Care.
• Professional competency in the science of Respiratory Care commensurate with the NBRC credential.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:

• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support; ACLS and/or NALS preferred.

Conditions of Employment
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
